In most situations the Funeral Home returns the ashes of our loved ones in
plastic or polystyrene urns after cremation. These are not always suitable for
display so we have designed the TOROA Range
to take these. The plastic urns are installed through the removable base which
is secured with screws. The sides are beautifully shaped from solid
hardwood/softwood and finished naturally with oil and wax to enhance the grain
of the timber. They can also be polyurethaned as an alternative finish. A
brass or chrome name plate is centred on top of the urn or on the side.
The labour intensive process is
the same for every product we manufacture. The timber is cut, machined and
moulded to size.
Products are
then meticulously and lovingly sanded by hand before being glued together.
Once the glue has dried a final sanding is done to a smooth finish prior to
applying two to three coats of oil. Then a final coat of wax is added to
produce the luxurious finish that brings out the natural grain of the wood.
